Pezza del Vado represents a distinctive example of Bianco Puglia IGP, derived from the careful selection of Chardonnay and Bombino Bianco grapes. Cultivated in the limestone and tufaceous soils of Trani, this wine stands out for its freshness and structure, thanks to an early harvest that preserves its aromatic integrity. Its meticulous vinification involves temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, resulting in a wine with a brilliant straw yellow color, enriched by greenish reflections. On the nose, Pezza del Vado offers an olfactory intensity characterized by lively fruity scents, a distinctive feature of its varietal composition. On the palate, it is balanced, with a freshness that underscores its elegance and light aromatic notes, leading to a persistent and pleasantly fruity finish.

North of Bari – Contrada Schinosa – Trani at 70 meters above sea level.

VARIETIES

60% Chardonnay, 40% Bombino Bianco

VINEYARDS

Trained on trellises with the Guyot system on predominantly tuffaceous-calcareous soils with a density of 4500 plants per hectare.

VINIFICATION

Harvest takes place in the second half of August. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the must is cooled to 10°C to better preserve the varietal aromas and achieve a natural clarification of the must itself. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 15°C.

MATURATION

In stainless steel. Subsequent refinement in the bottle for a period of 1-2 months.

TASTING NOTES

Straw yellow color with greenish and golden reflections. Fresh and intense on the nose with fruit scents. An elegant and well-balanced wine with a clear imprint of freshness and slight aromatic notes.
